WHAT WE ARE NOT
Waking Words is not a shortcut for fast, easy results in self-help and self-empowerment, though it is an experience where speed and ease do apply! Everyone’s relationship with their BIG MYSTERY (or mysteries) is different, requiring different insights and impact in order to help each free themselves. But the general understanding and disciplines offered in "Waking Words" can help “turbo-charge” that discovery and healing.
Waking Words is not a Personality-oriented practice or program. This is not—and never should be—about me, as if I am somehow uniquely gifted, empowered, or illuminated. "Waking Words" is my unique way of interpreting and sharing this powerful experience and practice, but each unique “Crystalline Self” (my term to describe the original Truest Version of oneself) will develop, modify, and design their own unique experience, practices, and disciplines that emerge from their own uniquely applicable GENIUS (their own version of “Waking Words” expressed in their own authentic terms. My unique version that I call "Waking Words" serves only as a window into that Self…a source of support for accessing that genius and then going deeper into a relationship with it so their unique gifts, virtue, and vitality are made available—first, to themselves, and then—to the rest of us. As the maxims above articulate clearly, there is nothing so special or inspiring about my attempts to assist others who may be two steps behind in some aspects of their lives that it qualifies me as some form of guru, teacher, preacher, or guide.
Waking Words is not a philosophical movement intended to result in some cult-like following or a set of creedal religious or philosophical beliefs. That would be the antithesis of everything I’ve learned and adopted in Waking Words. Once more, referencing the maxims above, there is nothing so special or inspiring about this experience and practice that it merits being transformed into some form of dogma or creed, whereby its practitioners would claim to have “special revelation” (divine or otherwise) enabling them to exercise judgment of, or authority over, others. One of the essential pillars or premises of Waking Words (and almost every universally proven principle applicable in human history and traditions) is that the focus is always on the INNER GAME…the mastery is always, continuously on the mastery of Self, and continuously expressing and refining that Mastered Self in the world. “He who would be your Master, must needs become your servant. He who would be master over others has failed to gain mastery of himself.” There is no version of this practice that justifies the creation of an organized movement based on a set of beliefs, creeds, or ideas that are considered sacred or inviolable!
Waking Words is an effort at sharing the light I’ve discovered with others who likely have a capacity for light that is far greater than my own.
