The Reckoning assesses what decades within evangelical Christianity revealed: its power to form faith, conscience, community, and hope—and its tendency to fracture trust, identity, and harmony. Ultimately, for the author, the philosophy fails to bear fruit sufficient to justify its exclusive claims. Thus, it is essential to practice discernment about what merits trust—and what must be left behind.
